FAQs

Will anyone else see my photos?

It is 100% your choice if you share your photos or not!

We will never share any photos of you without your permission. Upon presentation of images you will sign an Image Release on which photos you would like us to share on our social media platforms or website.

Most clients are happy to share photos of their body that don’t show their face. Some clients are happy to share photos that do show their face. Others don’t want to share any at all.

All of the above is ok - that decision is yours and yours alone and we take your privacy very seriously.

What happens with hair and makeup? Can I do it myself?

Professional Hair and Makeup styling is included in your session fee and your photographer is also your makeup artist! Liv has been a professional makeup artist since 2010 and applied makeup to hundreds of faces!

Her preferred style of makeup is natural glam so you can relax and rest easy in the knowledge that you won’t be caked in makeup at the end of our makeup session and you will still feel like you!!

Your hair will be done either at a nearby salon or by Liv - it’s all sorted for you, all you need to do is show up!

I don’t own any lingerie - can I still have a photoshoot?

Of course! Lingerie is fun in your session but certainly not essential. A t-shirt, black undies, a singlet, shape-wear and a cardigan are all items we have personally styled for clients in photoshoots. You will be asked to bring a range of option along to your session!

We also have a client wardrobe ranging from size 8-24 with lots of gorgeous lingerie from Honey Birdette, Bras’n’Things, Shein and more.

And don’t forget about getting nudey rudey in your birthday suit; the ultimate sexy outfit that we can always work with!

Do I have to get naked?

Of course not! Not everyone is comfortable getting nude in front of the camera for a variety or reasons and at LRP we respect your decision either way.

Liv will ask what level of nudity you are comfortable with as you go along. And if you change your mind mid-session, let Liv know and she can adapt to your comfort level.

If you don’t want to get naked but still want some nude style photos, we can imply nudity with a strategically placed white sheet…always a fave!

Still too much nudity? How about some photos in lingerie? And if that’s still a bit much for you we can take photos in a dress or a t-shirt and shorts.

Most clients start out anxious in their underwear and then by the end of the shoot they have strip it all off haha! There is no expectation to do this AT ALL, but it’s nice to know that you’re not alone in feeling awkward to begin with right?

Where does the session take place?

Although Liv travels around Australia, most sessions take place in her home studio in Franklin, a sleepy little town nestled between a river and the mountains, in the Huon Valley, Tasmania.

You will have absolute privacy for your shoot - with the exception of an inquisitive doggo peeping through the window while you get your makeup done!

If you would like the shoot to take place at your house this can totally be arranged although we may need to organise a site inspection prior to the shoot to ensure there is enough light, and a seperate travel fee does apply.

If you want a session in nature, just ask! Natural and wild, outdoor sessions can be arranged…even in chilly Tassie!

Do you retouch the photos?

ALL Women are beautiful, regardless of the shape or size of their body and LRP is a body-positive, fat-positive studio. This means that we do not retouch to change the appearance of your body.

Freckles, rolls, wrinkles, scars, stretch-marks and cellulite all tell a story about you. Liv is an honest documentarian and wants to capture the real you.

Your photos are edited to adjust lighting and create a consistent tone.

Temporary blemishes (ie - pimples, bruises, scratches etc. ) are also touched up along with a small amount of skin smoothing.

If you have any concerns with any of this let’s chat!

I'm not a model and I am worried about posing - am I going to suck at this?

Heck no! None of the women in our photos are models. They are women just like you. Mums, uni students, teachers, nurses, lawyers, doctors, retail workers …just to name a few!

Liv will guide you through all the different poses by first demonstrating and then step-by-step, telling you exactly what you need to do with your hands, legs, feet, eyes, head etc. The poses are done in an easy, efficient way so you aren’t exhausted by the end, although it can be a bit of a work out!

When do I get to see my photos?

Most Viewing Sessions occur the same day as your photoshoot. But if this isn’t possible, within 7 days of your photoshoot, we will contact you to arrange your Viewing Session. During the viewing you will have the opportunity to choose your favourite images and purchase albums, wall art, folio envelopes and digital images. There are samples of all products in studio so you will be able to feel and touch them and see what you like. Liv will walk you through these options during your Viewing Session.
